Issue: can post as a different organizer

Hello,

I was using Community Tickets then updated to Events TIckets Plus. I noticed a problem. I am able to post events as a different organizer, even though I am logged in under my own account. Do you know how to fix this? Or is there a way to remove the organizer dropdown from the events submission page?

Hi Erin. Thanks for your question and the screenshot.

Users can see organizers and venues made by admins and any they have created themselves. They cannot see or use organizers created by other users. This hasn’t changed from v3.12.x to v4.0.x

I just tested this on my local install with the latest versions of TEC, TEC PRO, and Community Events. Please advise if you’re experiencing something different and want me to test any other scenarios.

Hi sorry for the delay. I just tried again and I am still able to post as other organizers. Is there anything I can do to fix the issue?

Erin, by default you can select any organizer that is present on your site, regardless of whether or not YOU are that organizer. So, what you are experiencing is not broken, it’s the intended behavior.

On my site we don’t use organizers since they aren’t synced with the default wordpress users, which is confusing. So, I just hid the organizer field via css, no harm done, and display the WP Username as the author instead.
