ParticipantIs there any way to display the events list/calendar on a specific page? I can make adjustments if instructed. I have specific widgets and text I would like to display but the events page isn’t assigned to any of the pages in my page directory so It makes it hard for me to edit. It would be great if there was a shortcode option.

ParticipantHi, accessrose. As we mention in the FAQ, TEC doesn’t support shortcodes. Is this something that you could perhaps make happen with one of our widgets?
Otherwise, you’re welcome to reference our documentation at http://docs.tri.be/ and call our event elements to create the page you want. The Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) is also a great resource.
If you get stuck along the way, we’re more than happy to answer specific questions.

ParticipantNo problem. Thank you for the information. Is there anyway to just embed the calendar in a specific page?

ParticipantHi, accessrose. Would you mind being specific about which view you’re referring to? As I mentioned, the simplest thing might be to embed the widget in the page.

ParticipantHi, accessrose. I’m sorry, but I still don’t understand what you’re ultimately trying to achieve.
This is a thread from an older release (i.e., you shouldn’t use the code that’s provided), but maybe it will give you some ideas. Once I understand specifically what you’d like to do, I can help get you pointed in the right direction.

ParticipantThe question is fairly simple. accessrose would like to know how to manually place the calendar in an existing WP page. Most plugins would make this feature available via a shortcode that can be dropped into the post content – obviously not a feature that TEC supports.
Perhaps there is a function that can be called from within a theme template? This would be a question for the plugin developers.

ParticipantHi, corageroux. I appreciate you trying to step in and help.
We have documentation for all of the fuctions that you would need available at http://docs.tri.be/. Hope that helps!

ParticipantThank you corageroux, that is exactly what I meant.

ParticipantHi, accessrose. If you check out the docs page I linked to in my first reply, you’ll find the template tag documentation. Template tags should allow you to accomplish the same end goal here; while the plugin is designed to have a dedicated events page (at /events/) rather than displaying them on a non-events page, you can accomplish it with template tags if you see fit.
Again, all the documentation is available. We are happy to answer specific questions as needed. I’m afraid this is the only generic answer we can offer on this front.
Best of luck!
