We want to import 140 events at once and have created a spreadsheet with all of the information required for each event. Is there any way we can also import body content, or do we have no choice but to edit each of our 140 events — cutting and pasting that information from our spreadsheet?
April 26, 2017 at 2:06 pm #1274943CliffMemberHi, Scott.
I’d suggest you reference our CSV import documentation.
If you’re instead trying to import from Google Calendar, Facebook, iCal files, etc, that functionality is available via our Event Aggregator product.
Please let me know how this goes for you.

Everything in your CSV import document refers to fields which only appear in the page Header (while common Footer information is stored in the Event settings).
What’s NOT addressed, either in your import document or in your response here, is whether there is any way to also import content directly into the Body of each page (below the header and above the footer) from CSV. From what we can see, we must enter that content manually (either by hand or by copy & paste from another source).
If that’s correct, then our assumption is as well: there’s no way we can see to import anything into the Body of an event page (at least, not during the process of importing the various page header fields from CSV).
April 26, 2017 at 4:17 pm #1275000CliffMemberSorry if things weren’t clear, Scott.
The Event Description, Venue Description, and Organizer Description fields are HTML fields and are what get entered as the body/description text of each WordPress post (whether an Event, Venue, or Organizer post).
I’d suggest testing out the CSV import with a small subset of data, ideally on a test site, to make sure things work as desired, then do the full import on the actual site.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

We don’t answer support questions for The Events Calendar core/free or Event Tickets core/free or their paid add-ons in the Pre-Sales forum.
If you made your purchase(s) through a different user account, please login to that account and then post in one of the paid forums.
