GuestWe’re just moving to a responsive WP theme in Divi, but our calendar isn’t responsive. Will I need to learn how to ‘program’ changes to your templates or is there a neophytes option for making simple changes (the color of the bar showing the days of the week, for instance?) Thanks!

MemberHi Julie, thanks for getting in touch!
The good news is that The Events Calendar is responsive right out of the box, so you are good to go there. 🙂
There are a number of ways to customize the calendar’s colors. The easiest way is a feature in Events Calendar PRO that uses the WordPress Customizer to set colors.
There are more advanced ways to customize the calendar layout and styles, such as overriding the default CSS files with your own, but the option above is by far the easiest way to go about it.
Does that sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi,
Logged with with client account. Please reply to this email address ([email protected]) if you can. We have 4.2.6 of the The Event Calendar installed. (Update to 4.2.7. is available) Version 4.2.3 of Event Calendar Pro add-on is also installed. We’re trying to customize color of calendar. We’re working with the Divi theme. We have version 3.0.4 of Divi is installed. Update of Divi is available (3.0.5). Right now calendar widget is appearing only in grey. It can be seen at: https://dev-ru-pharmacy.pantheonsite.io. Options/settings for modifying color are available in the customizer, but changing and saving settings isn’t making the change. We’re assuming that modification of color can be handled by customizing CSS as described in your support page (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/#customizing-styles), but can you provide advise why color updates are not working via the customizer? Has this issue been reported for those working wih Divi? We plan to update both Divi and Calendarsoon and are hopeful update might fix the issue. Any advise would be appreciated.

MemberHi @Carol and thanks for following up!
The Customizer will work for the elements that are specified as options in the Customizer menu for The Events Calendar and I’m afraid that the widgets are not included in that list of options.
You are correct that the best way to go about updating the widget styles is to use the style overrides that are outlined in the Themer’s Guide link you mentioned.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Thanks!
