ParticipantWe have customers show up at events and want to pay our tour guides. But if we want to post the payments the next day, the tickets are not listed on past events. Is there a way to process a ticket purchase after the event is past?

MemberHi!
My apologies it took us so long to respond to your inquiry. At this time our plugins are setup so that no tickets can be purchased after the event passes. Are you trying to simply record a ticket sale in your site for reporting purposes? Or are you trying to make an actual purchase/charge?
If you want to simply record a sale you could go into the WooCommerce > Orders page within WordPress and click on “Add Order” at the top of the screen.
This will take you to the order page and within “Order Items” section you can search for your tickets for events and add them to the system. This will allow you to track all sales in your site for reporting. Is this what you are looking for?
Thanks,
– Matthew

ParticipantI don’t understand. Yes, I want to add an order for guests who showed up and paid at the door so that I can keep track of all who paid for that event. Is there any documentation that shows step-by-step instructions for adding an order through WooCommerce?
Also when went to WooCommerce>Oders Page>Add Order and I searched for tickets for a specific event…..a) not all events showed up, even when I tried searching for tickets at a certain event … and b) the items that do appear in the search are existing orders. How is that helpful?July 11, 2014 at 12:47 pm #350215matthewdenton
MemberHi Again:
Sorry to hear you are having trouble using the instructions I outlined above to record purchases for past events. I ran through my instructions again and was able to successfully input a completed purchase for tickets for a past event. I’m going to add a few more details and hopefully it should resolve your remaining questions. Also as an aside you can get lots of information on WooCommerce from their documentation at: http://docs.woothemes.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/
Record a sale for Past Events
- Go to WooCommerce > Orders page withing WordPress Admin Screen
- Click on “Add Order” button https://cloudup.com/iZaqhKQHSR9
- Add Order page should display
- Enter Order Date, Status, Customer
- Within Order Items type name of ticket into search box next to “Add Items”
- As you type it should find tickets that match, choose your ticket and press “Add Items” https://cloudup.com/iL1hhjgx0wZ
- Item should now be present in the Order Items, modify qty if desired
- Click Save Order
This will create a new order record that will show with the rest of the orders processed by the site. If you got to the event page it will even reflect in the Event Sales Report.
I hope this clarifies how to process tickets for past events, Please let me know if you have any further questions.
