is there a way to change the single event layout slightly

Hi folks – just wondering if there is a way to change this single event layout slightly?

I’d like the image to be floated to the left and the event description to be floated over to the right (the calendar buttons and the venue/map info can stay at the bottom like they are).

I’ve tried to mess around on the fly with Firebug but I can’t get the image to float – it looks like the container is set to full width – and I can’t work out how to change this.

Any clues would be awesome!

Good question. There are certainly many ways to adjust the layout with CSS alone, but repositioning elements altogether might best be done with an override of the single-event.php template so you can add your own HTML structure and classes to get exactly what you’re looking for. Check out our Themer’s Guide to get started there and let me know if any questions pop up as you go.
