    When the January update came out, it wasn’t quite ready for prime time and caused users some issues. Because I’m a one-woman-band publishing 8 articles a week, this was a big deal for me and caused a lot of hair-pulling. I don’t have time or the hair to lose to spend time testing the product on a virtual site and solving other problems. So when the latest big update came out, I decided not to upgrade. My theory was that I’d wait for other people to do the beta testing and then when it seemed calm, I’d update my site.

    I can see there have been multiple upgrades to the last big change. My question is, do you think it’s pretty stable now and I can go ahead and update?

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    We usually recommend our customers to keep their plugins up to date to avoid conflicts and have our latest features and fixes installed. We work hard to make our plugins broadly compatible. However, like all WordPress developers we cannot test with every plugin, theme, and server environment out there, and sometimes “conflicts” can occur.

    I would suggest you to backup your site using a plugin like BackWPup or Duplicator and update your plugins after that. If for some reason you experience any issue after the plugin update, please reply to this thread and I’ll be happy to assist!
