Is it possible to remove the custom taxonomy "event categories"?

Hi,

I’m thinking about removing the event-specific event-categories and (instead) use the normal post-categories, so users can use the same cats for posts and events. And we want to build Archive-Pages that list different post_types in a Category.

Is this a supported idea? Any remarks on this idea?

Hi, Carsten.

This would require custom code (that we do not provide), but you might be able to use unregister_taxonomy() for the Tribe__Events__Main::TAXONOMY taxonomy.

Our plugin already allows assigning Events to Post Tags.
