is a page called 'events' needed?

hi everyone
whilst troubleshooting another problem with this plugin (theres another thread running for that) I came across a question that I need clarification for.
I initially had a blank page called ‘events’ that I created, assuming that it was needed for The Events Calendar to “sit on”.
Whilst troubleshooting my other issue I deleted this page called events with the intention of recreating it again. But before I recreated it I noticed I still could see my events calendar by typing mysitename.com/events

My question is: is there any reason for me to have a page called ‘events’ that is blank when I can still get to the calendar via sitename.com/events
?

Hi, aurelio. Sorry if our documentation on this issue caused confusion.

There’s no need for you to create a page at “events”. TEC will take care of that automatically.
