ParticipantI have some introductory text displaying before the Events Calendar in list view.
It was put there about a year ago, can’t remember how, possibly with help from Modern Tribe.
Problem is – I want to remove it now, can’t find where.It is not in Events ->Settings -> Display.
I can see it with Firebug: div#tribe-events-header::before {content: “blah blah blah.”;}
It is definitely not in my child theme style sheet, though I can kill it there with:
div#tribe-events-header::before {content: “” !important;}
It is not in my child theme at all.
Been hunting through style sheets and PHP files to no avail.
Any ideas where to look?Events Calendar is a nice product.

ModeratorHello and thank you for the compliments!
We are always trying to please our customers, so the kind words mean a lot to us 🙂
It sounds like you potentially have a template override as outlined in our Themer’s Guide. Try opening your theme folder and see if there is a folder in there called tribe-events. If you see this folder, the introductory text in question is more than likely in here. Another option would be to look in plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views; look for list.php.
Check it out and let me know if you’re able to locate it. If not, we’ll explore some more options. Thanks for posting and choosing PRO – have an excellent week!

ParticipantHello Hunter
I have no tribe-events folder in my child theme, though after this experience I see it is by far the best way to make modifications.I looked at plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list.php
It is just a short file, no blurb hiding in there.I looked at about 100 php and css other files while in there, nope.
Cleared the cache many times.
I uploaded some pictures so you can see the Calendar with the blurb:
http://www.friendsofholbrookpalmerpark.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/events-cal-shot2.pngWithout the blurb (killed with some CSS):
http://www.friendsofholbrookpalmerpark.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/events-cal-shot3.pngScreen shot of firebug showing the blurb and CSS to hide it:
http://www.friendsofholbrookpalmerpark.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/events-cal-shot.pngThis is not a huge deal as I can hide it, just very irritating that it is still there and I can’t find it.
And I acknowledge this is totally self inflicted, Events Calendar has been solid for us on this and other sites.Looking at old emails from 2013 I found this:
http://tri.be/alter-or-remove-heading/
but that support thread goes 404 now.Any other ideas you have of where to look would be appreciated.

ModeratorHello and welcome back,
I took a look at some of your previous posts and my best guess is it’s located in your theme’s functions.php file. I wish I was able to help more, but without access to your site it would be nearly impossible for me to find it. Additionally, please refrain from sending over login credentials as we are not allowed to log into customer sites for any reason.
Let me know if it’s in your functions.php file. I’ll close this thread out after you respond as we’ve pretty much concluded that there is not much we (support) can do. Best of luck!
