Hi. I think the answer to this question would be of interest to many potential customers.
In case when a business or event organizer has a list of already assigned ticket numbers is there a way to use this list for creating pool of e-tickets with QR codes based on these numbers. This is particularly useful when you are acting as a distributor when You are assigned with the pool of ticket numbers for sale.
    Thank you for your answer.

Hi Ruslan and thanks for writing in!

I’m not entirely sure I follow the question but, if I understand correctly, Event Tickets Plus does indeed assign a unique ticket ID which is contained in a QR code in an electronic ticket that attendees can bring to be scanned at the door of an event.

The plugin also allows you to export and download a CSV list of all attendees for any given event, which also contains the ticket ID for each attendee in the report.

I think you might also be asking about the possibility of pre-assigning tickets to people. That is possible as well. For example, let’s say you are using WooCommerce as the e-commerce plugin that sells the tickets created in Event Tickets Plus. In that case, you could manually create an order for a ticket for someone and that order will automatically be attached to the event that the ticket is assigned to. That would create a pool of pre-assigned attendees that have a ticket for the event.

Sorry if I am completely off the mark, but does this help answer your question at all? Please let me know. 🙂

    Thanks!
    Geoff

Thank you for your reply. I dont think you got my question. I am well aware of the option of the plugin to assign a unique ticket ID, my question however was “Can i assign the Ticket ID myself?” Meaning instead of using automatically assigned unique ticket id, is it possible to tell the plugin which Ticket ID to use for QR generation. I will try to describe the process so may be it will be useful to understand the question.
I am a distributor and i have my channels of distribution and my own unique platform for selling tickets(lets say your platform). One of the business owners that i am dealing with, who has a different platform for selling tickets, is having an event and he wants me to sell his tickets that are already registered in his system. His tickets are scanned at the door using QR code that are generated using Unique Ticket ID that his system generated. He passes me a list of uniqe Ticked ID’s for sale)lets say 100 number) Now I take these 100 unique ticket ID’s and feed it to my system. Plugin generates a batch of 100 tickets using these Unique ticket ID. Since we are using the same Ticket ID QR code on my ticket are now recognizable by Event organizer scanner since these numbers were registered on his system even though we are using different platforms to sell tickets in the first place? Am i being explicit enough?

Thanks so much for clarifying! This helps a lot.

I did a little bit of testing and, while Event Tickets Plus does create a unique ticket ID for each ticket purchased, those tickets are generated automatically and cannot be edited from there.

What you could do is manually place orders for tickets in WooCommerce. That will generate the ticket IDs which can then be shared with the other platform. From there, you can edit each order in WooCommerce with the name and contact information of the actual attendee and that will assign that person to the ticket ID that was created in Event Tickets Plus.

I’m not sure that quite meets your objectives, but I think it’s as close to it as Event Tickets Plus can get for the time being.

Does this make more sense? Let me know if you have any other follow-up questions and I’d be happy to help as best I can.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
