Integrating multiple calendars in iCal, rCal, RSS format

The Bedford Citizen, an online news source for a small town outside Boston, seeks to establish a unified community calendar.

We hope to bring together ongoing municipal and community organization calendars into a single view on our site. To complicate matters, we would also like to be able to invite individuals and smaller organizations to post their events, though they would be moderated before landing on the site.

After 3 years we’re still using our initial “let’s see if it works” theme, Vigilance by Theme Foundry, and understand that it may need to be replaced so that we can integrate the calendar.

We’d like to add this multi-user calendar without running into space use issues.

Are we shouting into the wind, or is there a solution?

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

I am not sure what you are asking as far as features, but.

The core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ as the basic functionality of events.

Then Pro adds features such as Recurring Events and Additional Fields.

The Community Events Add On has a way for users on the front end to submit events to the calendar.

And finally you maybe to use the iCal Importer to import events from other calendars if they have an iCal feed.
