ParticipantMy first experience after purchasing and installing Events Calendar Pro was that when I activated the plugin I lost the events listing on my main page in the right sidebar. Deactivating the Pro plugin restored the listing. This is the main feature of my home page. You can try http://staging.pianyc.net which has Pro activated, and http://pianyc.net on which I was forced to deactivate the Pro plugin to get back my events listing. I do not see anything under Events settings where I can control this. Thanks for your help.

MemberHi Victor,
Thanks for getting in touch with us and sorry for the confusion here!
Events Calendar PRO comes packed with an ‘advanced list widget’ which is an enhanced version of the basic event list widget. Just use this widget instead (which should look the same in the widgets section) and it should work as expected!
Please let me know if this helps,
Best,

ParticipantThanks Nico, with your advice I know how to restore an events feed on my home page. But now I see that the the events listed have a different appearance in that they display the date in two ways–both as a square icon and as text–and I have found no way to disable either date display. Is there a way display only one date? Or at least hide the square date icon, which I do not really admire the look of. I like being able to add the price and other fields that were not available in the free version, but I did not know the appearance of the existing controls would change in Pro–I though I would just have more options. Thanks again, Vic

MemberHey Vic, thanks for following up!
The following CSS snippet will hide the ‘date icon’, just paste it in your theme’s (or child theme’s) stylesheet file or via Simple Custom CSS plugin:
.tribe-events-adv-list-widget .list-date {
display:none;
}
Please let me know if this makes it right,
