    Hi Guys,

I’m new to this forum and wordpress. In fact i’m not even a coder, BUT I’m determined on learning how I can make the most of The Events Calendar and its various plugins.

    So here it goes…

I engaged the services of a local Web person to identify the best online Calendar for our purposes. So they filled wordpress with calendar plugins and options. Web person then left and never made contact therefore 🙁 Leaving me with lots of half baked plugins!

I separately choose to go with The Events Calendar given it’s many positive reviews and a general liking to its style and support.

After upload The Events Calendar plugin and then TRYING to install the PRO version (to which I have paid for). I found myself overwhelmed with the number of plugins, It would appear The Events Calendar has a number of child Plugins that support The Events Calendar… So I’m unsure now which plugins to delete without breaking the site.

Here is a link to a screen shot….http://anista.engauged.com.au/assets/downloads/HELp_-_The_events_calendar__Plugins_%E2%80%B9_Anista_CSC_HR_Portal_%E2%80%94_WordPress.png

I super eagerly await your reply.

    — I just went to look at the site/wordpress, and it seems I;ve broken it again …DOOH… The first time my Hosting provider helped, and identified the below error..

    site shows this error.

    Hey Dujon,

I’m sorry about your web developer leaving you abruptly like that – having been in your shoes before, it can be quite frustrating.

Fortunately, even though there is very little we can do about code conflicts with other plugins or themes, many of the “The Events Calendar”-related plugins you have on your site are not official plugins from Modern Tribe, and are also NOT required for The Events Calendar itself to run correctly – or run at all, in fact.

So you should be able to deactivate those fine.

If the plugin listing in your admin does not say “By Modern Tribe, Inc.”, it’s not an official plugin 🙂 And The Events Calendar has no dependencies, it can run entirely by itself on your site.

I hope the information here helps – let us know if it does, or if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thanks!
    George
