Insert Entire Calendar Page into a Page

I would like to insert the entire events page (not just the mini calendar) into a page so I can use my themes page options (such as sidebar and footer options.

I have already tried to create a custom page template and had Event’s Calendar use it, but then I cannot actually use any of the settings my theme provides because their is no “edit page” option when doing that and I definitely don’t want to hard code the page template when the dynamic templates are awesome.

I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that we are just about to release a full calendar shortcode for our Pro customers.
Version 4.3 (currently in beta rc4) should be available around mid October.

So stay tuned!

In the meantime, if you have not done so already, you might also want to play with the Events Template setting in Events -> Settings -> Display . For some themes, that enables the use of a normal page template to display the calendar in.
