    Hello,

It seems to never end. The charging circle keeps turning and turning and turning and the progress bar isn’t moving.

I changed the theme, removed all the other plugins, reloaded permalinks, and I still have a couple of recurring events posts loading infinitely and not loading the right datas, as if it was stuck.
I even tried to remove tribe plugins, and bringing them back only brought me a 404 error page on the calendar… Now it’s back normal (after switching a few settings and saving), but I am still stuck with a few infinite loops and recurring events not loading normally.

Updating the event does not change anything either.

    Hi Jean-Emmanuel,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are having this issue on your site!

Would you mind providing me with a screenshot of what these events look like on the back end, so that I can run some tests on my end as well?

If the recurring events are created with custom recurrence rules, that tends to cause issues with speed, so that may be something to keep in mind.

Does this affect the front end of your site as well?

Please have a look at our Performance Considerations and see if there is anything you can adjust in order to help your site run better:

After that, you may be interested in caching, so take a look at this article:  https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/caching-basics/

In addition, you can check out some of the solutions provided in this forum post:

I would also recommend looking into some of the plugins in this blog post, as they may be able to help you pinpoint where site slowness may be occurring:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any additional questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I used custom rules (“once” rules) for at last 5 or 6 recurring events. The dedicated server the website is on allows for longer connections if required by the website.

The infinite loop finally ended. I reloaded the post by publishing it one more time (cause some info are still missing on front end) and the infinite loop is back on…

I guess it was overloaded and had trouble finishing all the processes. It took litteraly hours -_-
