ParticipantHi Guys,
As a beginner, my understanding of the site fees in the current setting within the attached images is: the site fee is per a ticket, per an event/transaction.
This is not happening in my case, the checkout displays $1.40 instead of $2.80 as 2 tickets have been selected for the same event.
Where two tickets have been purchased for another event, the site fee then increases to $2.80 instead of $5.60
Can you assist please?
Thanks,
Justin

MemberHi, Justin.
Thanks for your detailed question.
Your screenshot of Community Tickets’ settings states, “The flat fee charged for each event in an order,” not per ticket.
And it sounds like this is the way your site is behaving. Please let me know if I’m missing something here.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, this formula doesn’t work for us.
The site needs to charge 1.40 per ticket per event not per single event transaction as you state.
Therefore
Event One: Ticket @ 5 x 5 + Site Fee 1.40 x 5 = 25 + 7 = 32
Event Two: Ticket @ 7 x 3 + Site Fee 1.40 x 3 = 21 + 4.20 = 24.20
Total Purchase = 56.20
How do WE fix this?
Thanks,
Justin

MemberI understand. Thanks for your detailed reply.
Please try this plugin and let me know if it works for you (it was developed months ago but may still work).

ParticipantHi CLiff,
This works PERFECTLY!
Will this be affected in future updates?
How do I keep aware or notified that an update will mute this plugin?
This is HIGH PRIORITY for us.
Thanks,
Justin.

ParticipantP.S. Which files do I edit to remove the text “site fees”?
Thanks,
Justin.

MemberI’m very glad that worked!
That snippet plugin was authored in June 2016, and apparently hasn’t broken since that long ago š
I’m guessing we’ll eventually modify it a bit to become one of our official Extensions.
Looking at its code, it doesn’t look overly complex but if WooCommerce or Community Tickets gets an update, I’d suggest making sure to test that it’s still working for you.

To change the “Site Fees” text, please referenceĀ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/Ā or use a plugin like Say What?
If needed (or curious), see Line 127 ofĀ /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events-tickets/src/Tribe/Cart.php for the relevant code.
