inconsistant calendar view: grid view checked in settings but list view displays

I am using Calendar Pro for my events/calendar page at 1863lawrence.com. When I use the events tap located at the top of my dashboard the calendar grid view is displayed and the menu bar is visible across the top of my page. This is what I want. If I am viewing my site, click events, this does not happen. I get the list view and the menu bar across the top disappears. Under my event settings>defaults>calendar view is selected. I have tried unselecting it, save changes, view site, refresh; then go back and select calendar, save, view site, refresh and I still get the list view instead of grid view. I don’t understand why using the events tab from within my dashboard works but if your viewing the site, from any computer, the events list appears and the menu bar is not displayed.

Hi Brenna,

Try setting your permalinks to Postname in Settings > Permalinks. Let me know whether or not that works.

The Setting>Permalinks is checked “Postname.” I selected this again and hit save changes. I did change the name of the menu display name to “Calendar” so my menu bar would read “Calendar” instead of Events. I changed this by changing the name of the page then selecting that page to be displayed in my menu bar (in the Appearance>menu settings).

Hi Brenna,

Try creating a custom menu item with the title of Calendar that links to http://www.1863lawrence.com/calendar/ instead of http://www.1863lawrence.com/?post_type=tribe_events – that’s the problem.
