I’m sorry to bring this up because I know that there are several variations of this issue already represented in the forum, and I’ve spent many, many (many) hours hacking at the functions.php file with the various pearls of wisdom that I’ve come across, but unfortunately the result is a lot of frustration and defeat.

I’m attempting to design a weekly email blast in MailChimp that will share the coming week’s events and would love to include the featured image for each event in MailChimp’s *|RSSITEM:IMAGE|* tag, but I can’t for the life of me get the code to cooperate on the WordPress side.

I understand that there are reasonable limitations within the parameters of this forum in terms of what support is available, but I wonder what my options are at this point. I know that WordPress and TEC Pro are capable of this functionality, I’m just at a loss for how to unlock this. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Evan,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I apologize for your frustration in attempting to accomplish this feature in conjunction with the MailChimp feature. As an initial step, would a plugin such as this work to get what you need? Since our “events’ are built using WordPress built-in custom post types, at it’s core, this should work the same as posts or other custom post types.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
