ParticipantHi,
I bought the Event Aggregator plugin to import event data from google calendar.
I also installed the EventRocket plugin, which adds simple but adequate RSVP functionality.
It adds several RSVP fields to each event and I took the time to enter all needed data for all my events.
It worked like a charm. The Event Aggregator scheduled imports overwrites all the entered data, even though I selected
Event Update Authority: Import events but preserve local changes to event fields.
Please tell me how to fix this. This way the import has no value for us.
Best regards

ModeratorHey Harry,
Thanks for reaching out. Let’s see if we can figure out what’s going on here.
It looks like you’re using the EventRocket plugin, which I’m sad to say, has been known to break with the Events Calendar since version 4.
There’s good news however, we have a Event Tickets plugin which provides the same RSVP functionality you’re looking for. You can find that over here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets/.
If you’re looking for more advanced functionality concerning RSVP fields, you may want to check out: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/. This is a paid product, but it is compatible with all of our other products.
We strive to make you happy, if for any reason you are not satisfied, you can always return for a full refund within 30 days.
Let me know if you need help with anything else or if you have anymore questions.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Neal
I had a presales discussion on rsvp already. The free plugin does not support viewing rsvp data on the front end.
Only with the plus that would be possible. But than I pay for a lot of functionality but use only a tiny bit.In my opinion, rocket does not break the events calendar but it is the other way around. Specifications say you don’t update fields that are not changed at the source but you do!
Please look into the case (debug and see what happens)
Best regards

ModeratorHey Harry,
I understand where you’re coming from. It’s a bummer that the Event Rocket plugin isn’t working with this right out of the box. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated in 2 years, and it is a third-party plugin, so we cannot provide support for it. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen breakage with Event Rocket though. We have numerous other threads which show various levels of breakage when using Event Rocket.
I know you said that the Events Ticket Plus has more functionality than you need. Though there is the benefit of having Events Tickets Plus working straight away, getting Event Rocket to work in this case will require some customization. And I’m sorry to say that this is also out of scope for what we, as support, can provide.
Harry, I wish I could do more for you. If you have any other questions or if I can provide assistance with anything else, please let me know.

ParticipantHi Neal,
I’m not satisfied with the Events Aggregator as it overwrites data from the key functionality (RSVP’s) I want to keep using. That combination of tools is not going to work.
We’re looking for the strategy now to make the agenda in theeventscalendar the primary source, so we do no longer need the import here.
I would like to make use of the full refund within 30 days policy for the Events Aggregator.
Can I initiate that from here?
Best regards,

ModeratorHey Harry,
Sorry it isn’t working out for you with the Events Aggregator.
I just wanted to let you know that we’ve gone ahead and processed that refund for you. You’ll still have access to our premium forums for a bit longer, so in case you need help with anything else, please feel free to reach out.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
