Importing separate events with same title, dates, and times (based on venue)

Is there an option or hook available to have the CSV import process check for a difference in Venue as well as Title, Dates, and Times to allow a new event to be made when the events being imported have the same Title, Dates, and Times but a different Venue instead of seeing the second event as an update of the first?

A lot of our events have the same title, dates, and times but differ in venue and we’d prefer not to have to clutter up our calendar list/grid with longer titles (unique based on venue, i.e., “Title @ Venue 1” and “Title @ Venue 2”) as we have many events throughout each month. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.

You can customize how the events are imported by using on of the following filters:

• ‘tribe_aggregator_before_save_event’
• ‘tribe_aggregator_before_update_event’
• ‘tribe_aggregator_before_insert_event’

They are located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Record/Abstract.php
