When starting a new event, Show Google Maps Link is checked as default,
when importing a facebook link it is not set, would like option to have that set to default when importing, also ability to not impot organizer data when importing from facebook…

Also, when importing events, it adjusts timezone based on my server settings…AKA if an event is in cali and I’m in NY it will convert cali time to NY time upon importing. My website is worldwide, and you don’t support timezones…so when importing is it possible to keep the event time based on time zone, so if someone looks at event it shows LOCAL time, I have a little * saying all events times shown are local to event.

    Hello jrtoy4311,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’ll try to hit all the points you’ve brought up. If I happen to miss one, please let me know in the follow-up.

    1. <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Currently, the map isn’t automatically selected for imported events but the location should be imported. You can try adding this function to your theme’s “functions.php” to get it to automatically select the map option on imported events.</span>
    2. There are a couple of options here that can be pursued outside of modifying core plugin files. (1) You could delete the information after import or (2) you could use the Themer’s Guide to prevent this information from displaying on your site. This would be controlled with the modules -> meta ->organizer.php file.
    3. Events will import and display based on the Timezone set for your site. The Events Calendar currently doesn’t have support for multiple timezones. It is something that has been reported in the past and you can vote for the feature on our UserVoice page. This will let our developers know there is demand for the feature and give priority for the feature to be reviewed for possible inclusion in a future update of the plugin.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks!

great, that fixed the first two, I’ve been deleting so that works out.

    3. as for the 3rd issue, its ok that time zones are not supported, the issue is when importing from facebook it coverts it to timezone. I’d rather keep it as actual time…so import facebook events at the events local time zone, that way all events show correct time based on location of event in that timezone…I’ll make that note on uservoice…

    Hello jrtoy4311,

Thanks for following up with us!

Happy to have been able to help on the first two. Adding your request in UserVoice will definitely be helpful for the third.

I can verify with one of our developers, but the difficulty is with the way times are imported. If I’m not mistaken, they’re imported as a timestamp which will then depend on your site’s timezone for determining how the time will be displayed.

I’ll go ahead and close this ticket. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to open a new one.

    Thanks!
