ParticipantHi all
I have additional fields (some drop downs).I want to import using TEC import.
Is there a way of finding out the data structure (CSV row headers, essentially) to do this?
I have 200 events to import so importing using stock import template then going back in and editing, is not feasible.
Thanks
Tim

MemberHi Tim,
Thanks for using our plugins.
We have a way to include the additional fields in the csv in the next version of the plugin.
We hope to have release candidates this week and then release it soon after that once we are completed with our QA testing.
Cheers

ParticipantThanks Brian – if I import now (which I need to) and then re-import with additional fields, if the event name and all other meta is maintained, does the custom post simply get updated?

MemberHi,
I just tested on a development version and I imported all the events without additional fields.
I then came in and re-imported with the additional fields and it imported them to the existing events.
So you should be good to go here to import right away and come back with the additional fields.
Cheers

ParticipantThanks Brian
How did you accomplish the subsequent import, as the TEC importer doesn’t allow mapping of Excel fields to Additional fields.Tim

MemberIn 3.12 you use the name of the Pro additional field as the column header and put the data in the field then. It works with dropdowns, checkboxes, and radio buttons too, but your value in the csv file must match the values in the additional field exactly.

ParticipantCool – is it possible to get an alpha or beta to test this with?
