I know there was a bug in August that was creating duplications from the Google Import, but now I have a few random duplications along with one event I found that is on the completely wrong date. What is the best way to fix all of this, and it is getting a little frustrating that it hasn’t functioned correctly for a solid month yet since our purchase.

    Hello mca,

First, thanks a lot for using our plugins!

And thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry about the import duplication issue. Yes, we did have some issues like that. Let me try to help you get to the bottom of it.

Can you share me some details of what’s happening? Here is what would be useful:

    • the urlĀ  of the import, so I can run some test with it
    • which event is / events are being duplicated?
    • are there any changes made on the events that would give a reason for duplication? Or no changes at all on the events, and still they are duplicated?
    • Which event has the wrong date? What is it in googlecal and what does it become?

I’m really sorry about the frustration this is causing. If you can share with me the above then I’ll do my best to get down to the bottom of this.

Also some more notes as I was going through your system information – thanks for sharing that upfront:

    • I see ‘Duplicator’ and ‘Post Expirator’. They are not bad plugins as per se, just need to be careful with them so they don’t delete a scheduled import for example. We had cases like that.
    • We have released a new version of TEC yesterday which contains fixes for similar import issues. Please update and check if any of your issues are solved with it.
    • After updating it might be worth checking what happens if you delete a scheduled import and re-create it. (Possibly deleting the events, and removing them from the ‘Ignored’ list would be best too.)

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
