Hi I have just carried out the first major import for our go live which is supposed to be tomorrow.

I have imported Venues, Organisers and Events.

The Events csv has two columns
    #SHOW MAP LINK? SHOW MAP?
    TRUE TRUE

However this does not feed through to the Venue (hte Venue csv doesn’t have these fields, should it?)

And the event itself doesn’t show the map.

Sorry I am at a loss and would appreciate some urgent help please

    Many thanks

    Jeff

    Hey Jeff,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately this is a known issue: the “Show Google Maps Link” and “Show Map” options are not being imported from CSV files.

There is a workaround available: you can enable google maps by default. Please access your Dashboard and head over to Events-> settings-> Map Settings and make sure that the “Enable Google Maps” option is ticked. I realize that this is not a great workaround, but it is the only one available in your specific situation until a patch is released.

I’m linking this thread to our internal bug report. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now, but the good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a solution is available!

Thanks for your understanding and if you have any other questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!

    Best Regards,

    Patricia

    Thank you Patricia.

The “enable Google Maps” checkbox has always been ticked, but that doesn’t make any difference and I am not sure how it could if when you go into a Venue admin page, the box isn’t ticked anyway!

However now even ticking the box doesn’t show the map!

    Hi Jeff,

Oh no, I’ve pointed you to the wrong menu, I’m sorry about that! If you access your Dashboard and head over to Events > Settings > Imports > Global Import Settings and change the “Show Google Map by default on imported event and venues” option to yes, does it help you?

I’ve also reviewed our internal bug report and a fix for this issue is expected to be released next week 🙂

If you have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

    Cheers,

    Patricia

We released an update for this issue. Can you update your plugins (preferrably on a staging site) and see if that resolves the issue.

    Thanks

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
