    Hi,

I search whole forum about this issue but couldn’t find anything.

    I have columns in my csv file, let’s say col1 | col2 | col3 | etc.

    During importing they’re shown as:

col1;col2;col3;etc and here just one field with options to choose (as what import it or not import at all).

What can be the issue in this? (It’s CSV saved as UTF-8)

    Best Regards,
    Jakub

    Hey Jakub,

Sorry you’re having trouble here. Hopefully we can help sort this out.

I’m curious about a few specific things here in regards to your issue:

    1. How are you generating your .csv file? Where’s it coming from?
    2. Would you be able to share a copy of your .csv file with us? If so, using a site like Dropbox or http://ge.tt/ to share the link might be the easiest way to do so.
    3. Do you get different results based on whether or not the “This file has column names in the first row” option is checked before you import the file? https://cloudup.com/cy0EfLOyaAm
    4. Finally, for now, can you provide a little bit more detail about exactly where along the import process your file stops working for you? For example, are you able to get to this page where you map columns to event fields, but then clicking “Perform Import” causes an error → https://cloudup.com/cTDyD5btXab? Or are you not even able to make it to that page? Provide as much detail as possible and include screenshots if you can, just so we know exactly what is not working on your site.

    Thanks Jakub!

    Solved. Thanks for help.

Solution: .csv file edited by text/code editor (TextWrangler in my case) shown ; between columns. Just replaced into , (comma’s) and saved. File imported without any problems.

Hey Jakub, glad to hear it! Thanks for sharing your solution, it’s something so simple and something I’m sorry I didn’t think of recommending earlier!

Best of luck with your site,
    George
