Import not working on most of the Facebook groups I'm looking at

    Here are a few example groups:

    All of these groups have events, but they never import. No error message, just 0 events.

    What’s the problem?

    Hi, Justin. Sorry you’re experiencing this confirmed bug.

    I marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. I know they’ve coded the fix for it but they need to test it and schedule it for release.

    I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Thanks for the reply, but can you give a bit more context on this?

    1. What exactly is the problem? Is it the “type” of Facebook group that I’m trying to import form, or something else? I wonder because I was able to import from some Facebook groups, but not others.

    2. Were these types of import working properly previously and then Facebook changed its API?

    3. I understand that you have no ETA for this being fixed, but was this type of import working before and now something has changed, or is this a new feature being implemented?

    Sorry there’s not more context to share other than this fix is expected to be released soon (possibly this month).

    I’ll be able to provide answers if needed after the fix is released.

    Hello Justin!

    Just wanted to share with you that a new release for the Event Aggregator server is out including a fix for this issue.

    No action is needed on your end as this is all on our server side of things, but we do recommend you update to the latest version of The Events Calendar (currently 4.6.6)

    Please try it out and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    I’ve updated the plugins:

    Events Calendar: 4.6.6
    Events Calendar Pro: 4.4.19
    Events Calendar Filter Bar: 4.5.1

    I tried the imports again and I’m getting “No matching records found”.

    But these Facebook groups have future events that were not imported:

    Can you tell me why?

    Hi. Sorry for the delayed reply over the holiday and weekend.

    Please try one or both of the following:

    • Delete the scheduled import, do a one-time import, then re-setup a new scheduled import job.
    • Disconnect your Facebook account and reconnect it, then try again

    If you still can’t get things to work, please link to the exact event for an event that’s missing from your importing.

    Thanks for the reply. This worked for one of the sources, but not for the other.

    I deleted all scheduled imports, deleted all events in my calendar, disconnected from Facebook and re-connected from the Events Calendar settings page.

    The import is still not working for this group:

    There is one recurring event, which is not imported. And one one-time event which is not imported.

    I had one of our developers dig into this; here are the details: looks like it has events but actually doesn’t. The events are “pulled” from and

    You can confirm this by going to and clicking the “Calendar” tab and seeing there aren’t any events there:

    The Facebook API that Event Aggregator uses does not actually get to see these “pulled in” events so there’s no way for us to even know these events exist and should be added to your WordPress site.
