ParticipantI’m having difficulty importing an Event CSV. The difficulty seems to be that the mapping is wrapping after Column K and instead of recognizing column L, it inserts the A column value from the next row down.
The behavior I’m seeing, then, is that the “Featured Image” column is instead grabbing the Event Name from the next row.
I’m attaching the CSV file to be looked through. I believe everything is formatted correctly.

MemberHi, Craig.
Please sign into your Google account (any Google account) and then visit this link: m.tri.be/mockdata
It will generate CSVs for you to compare to what you’re having trouble with. If you experience the same issue with importing one of these CSVs, please let me know.
FYI: we also have this CSV reference.
Please let me know how this goes for you.

ParticipantI uploaded the test data supplied. The featured image did not load, however. Everything as far as the mapping seemed fine, though.
I’ll definitely need to be able to get the images uploaded.
Thanks,

MemberThanks, Craig.
Could you please provide me the CSV file you used to test so I can see if I can replicate the issue on my testing site as well?

MemberWell I was able to replicate this issue and therefore have logged the bug. Sorry about this.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for letting me know about the patch. Unfortunately, I have a site that’s about ready to go live with the exception of pretty images for the Events.
Is there any other CSV import plugin that is compatible with TEC? I’ve done some of this in the past, but they have caused issues with end dates.
Thanks,

MemberWe don’t know of another CSV import for our plugins, but it’s possible a generic one could work if you properly map the custom fields. I’d suggest manually-creating an Event, Organizer, and Venue — filling in all the possible fields for each — and then tell the CSV importer the names of the custom fields.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
Please let me know how this goes for you if you choose to try it out.
