Import events from one ECP installation to another?

Hi – I’d like to be able to export the events from one installation of Events Calendar Pro to a second installation on another site. I’m guessing that would be more complicated than I had hoped; I see that I can download the events for a month as an iCal file, but that I can only import from CSV. Am I correct that at this point, there is not a way to do this out of the box? I saw a mention of an iCal importer being in closed beta, so I’m hopeful that perhaps this might be a feature down the road.

To import and export Events, Organizers, and Venues, it is true there is no way to do it right now, except with the CSV importer.

However, Events are Custom Post Types so you can use WordPress Export Tools to export any of the three and then use the WordPress Importer on another site to Import them.

Please note, If you are not importing everything(all posts,pages, etc) from site to site it will not take the features images, but everything else will be there. That is a limitation from WordPress, there maybe other solutions you can find to get around that.

That’s true re: importing them as Custom Post Types, but I’d like to know if the original feature (an iCal importer) may be in the works. Thanks!

Hello,

That is an interesting feature that we would like to add to the plugin, but right now there is no timetable. Currently, we are focusing on Performance Improvements as that was the number 1 issue our users would like improved. However, we are working on adding new features this fall. Please head to our uservoice page and either create the iCal Importer as a feature or if someone else already has created it, please vote for it as the higher voted features are where we take some of our next features from.
