Import events from an Outlook Calendar

hello,

love the Events Calendar plug-in, it looks like it might be the WordPress calendar we are looking for!

however, could you answer a question for us: is it possible to import venues/organizers/events from an existing Outlook calendar? we have been trolling through the forums and knowledge base and were not able to discern a clear answer on this.

Howdy Martin!

That is definitely possible with our iCal importer, which is currently in Beta. You could export events from your Outlook calendar as ical files, and import them with that plugin. Would you like for us to notify you when that plugin is ready for prime time?

perfect—and yes, please keep me informed as to when the iCal importer gets a final release.

in the meantime, it sounds like we would have to do a CSV dump of event data from Outlook, and then import it via the CSV Import functionality.

You’re very welcome Martin. That sounds like a good interim solution. However, if all goes according to plan the iCal importer should be released tomorrow. If we find any bugs in our final tests though, there might be a small delay while we fix them.
