Import Events Calendar Feed into Google Calendar

Hello there,

I am working on a website for a client, and one of the criteria for their calendar is that anyone can “subscribe” to the calendar feed on their website…that is, import it into their Google Calendar or other platform, and have it be automatically in sync with the website calendar.

We are implementing their website in WordPress and their calendar with The Events Calendar Pro, and we had hoped that there would be a “Subscribe to This Calendar” button built-in, but it does not appear to be that way. Is this functionality built-in to The Events Calendar Pro, or is there a work-around you recommend?

Good question. The Events Calendar does produce a URL to an .ics file that the plugin generates and can be used to send events to Google Calendar. At the same time, however, it would be a one-time import, sort of like manually uploading an .ics file to the calendar. In other words, it doesn’t sync on an ongoing basis.You can find the iCal URL at [your-site]/[events-slug]/ical

Not sure if it would work, but The Events Calendar does have an RSS feed for events and–if Google Calendar accepts it–that URL would push events on an ongoing basis. That might be worth a try. You can find the RSS URL at [your-site]/[events-slug]/feed
