ParticipantHello,
I just noticed that when a guest is adding an event and uploading an image they are given this error.
Note: if they are not uploading an image everything works fine.
In ChromeThis page isn’t working
livingfla.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
In Explorer
HTTP 500 error
That’s odd… the website can’t display this page
The site may be under maintenance or could have a programming error.
Try this
Go back to the last page
Try contacting the website’s ownerNote. The event and image are actually uploaded when i look at Pending Events however the image is not attached to the event and the image is not displaying a thumbnail when i look at my Media Library.
Can you help me solve this?
Thank you,
CaryJuly 31, 2017 at 2:14 pm #1328481Patricia
MemberHi Carry,
Thanks for contacting us!
I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing. The 500 internal server error is pretty generic. Can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to upload images to your CE calendar? All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log. This would help us to identify the cause of the issue you are experiencing.
If you have any other questions in the meantime, please let me know!

ParticipantHello,
I fixed the issue.
it was the Plugin – WP SmushWhen I deactivate it the problem was resolved.
Can you recommend a different image optimization plugin that will be compatible?
Thanks,

MemberHi Cary,
Good to know you were able to find out the cause of your problem! I’m afraid we don’t have an official recommended image optimization plugin, but I’ve tested EWWW Image Optimizer in my own site and it worked as expected.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else and have a great day 🙂
Regards,
Patricia
