Images not imported

Hi there,

I use the ical importer to import 2 calenders. It works fine but the images are not showing.

For example this is the original event: http://www.groenhartleudal.nl/agenda-item/dubois-wandeling-naar-de-bedelaar-2/
And this is the imported post: http://www.bezoekerscentrumleudal.nl/activiteit/dubois-wandeling-naar-de-bedelaar-2/

As you can see the image disappeared.
The import link is: http://www.groenhartleudal.nl/agenda/lijst/?ical=1&tribe_display=list
What should I do to make this work?

Hi Ward,

Good question! Unfortunately, images are not support in the iCal import process. iCal feeds themselves do not include file attachments that can be used to import from one source to another. You would need to add images after import in order for imported events to have images.

Hi Geoff,

When I add an image after import, it disappears again as soon as the next recurring import is finished.

Is there any other way to sync the calendars including all content (event details and images)?

Hi Ward,

I’m afraid there is currently no way to sync both content and images between two sites. The Facebook Events add-on can import all content–including images–from Facebook to WordPress but that’s not quite the same thing. I think the closest you could do is use the WordPress export tool (Tools > Export) from the first site, then import the file it produces using the WordPress Importer.
