ParticipantHi, the Events Calendar on our WordPress website is no longer displaying images in newly published or updated events posts. The images display in the previews but vanish from the post as soon as it is published, first in the front-end post, then in the back-end post (when the back-end is refreshed or revisited).
This seems to be related to the Eventbrite Tickets plugin. When I deactivate Eventbrite Tickets, images remain in the posts I publish. When I activate Eventbrite Tickets, the images disappear as soon as I publish (or update existing) events.
This is a recent issue, as I was able to publish an event containing a bunch of images last week with no problems. Viewing this (live, published) event now, the images, links, and formatting have all disappeared. I’m not sure whether I updated this post recently, but I do see that images are intact from events that were published earlier in the year.
It seems like links and formatting are disappearing, as well as images, but I haven’t tested this to confirm.
All plugins are on the latest version: 4.6.22.1 for Event Calendar, 4.5.2 for the add-ons. I’ve tried selecting different display options in Display: Settings, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference.
We need the Tickets plugin for our work. Please help!

KeymasterHi Emily,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m really sorry to hear about these issues you are experiencing with Eventbrite.
To summarize, I understand you are reporting two issues here:
- featured images disappear on update / they don’t get imported from Eventbrite
- formatting from the event description disappears (incl. images, links, etc.) when an event gets updated / imported from Eventbrite
Can you confirm these are the issues?
We are aware both of these. They are ticketed and our developers will soon be taking a look at them. I need to ask for your patience.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi András,
I actually didn’t notice a problem with the featured images disappearing, just the images within the post body. So, the problem is just this one:
2) formatting from the event description disappears (incl. images, links, etc.) when an event gets updated / imported from Eventbrite
Thanks. I hope that the developers can resolve this soon.

KeymasterThanks for confirming it, Emily! Much appreciated.
If all goes well, then the fix is going to be developed and released around the end of September.
I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.
If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and we’ll help you out.
Thanks and cheers,

ParticipantHi, do you have any updates about this patch? We would like to integrate our Events Calendar events with Eventbrite as soon as possible. Thanks!

KeymasterHi Emily,
Thanks for hanging in there and for pinging me.
I checked the ticket for both issues (image and formatting). A fix has been developed for both, they are waiting to be tested a final time and if all goes well the fixes will go out with the next maintenance release at the beginning of October. Only a little to go.
Cheers,
AndrasOctober 4, 2018 at 5:05 am #1637159Victor
MemberHi Emily!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for both issues here 🙂
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-30-september-2018/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Best,
