Image widget for event promotion

Good morning,

I would like to promote my community events using your Image Widget in my sidebar with my own image design. The left and right alignment work but the center alignment does not. Centered images appear to allign to the left. When I inspect the code it reads
vertical-align: middle;

This sounds correct but visually every image appears to the left. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.
