We are getting a HTTP 500 Error each time we try to upload an event with an image through the form on this page: /events/community/add. We saw a previous post about increasing the php limit: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/error-500-when-adding-event/, but our image is only 18KB and we are able to replicate the error with any image. We have made some customizations to the community module (we added notes and made only the title and image required), but the error persists even when we remove all our customizations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey Lauren,

Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing.

The 500 internal server error is pretty generic. Can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to upload images to your calendar? All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.

If you have any other questions in the meantime, please let me know!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
