I’m currently using the free version of The Events Calendar WordPress plugin. I was wondering if there was a way to have calendar events automatically publish on Twitter and/or Facebook. I was thinking IFTTT might be useful for this purpose, but maybe there’s a better way. Has anyone got this working?

I’m also not averse to paying for the Pro version of the plugin if it does this for me.

    Hello Brian

While we do not directly integrate with IFTTT, you can try using the WordPress trigger associated with a tag or category. Zapier also has a WordPress trigger and can use the “any webhook” filter that allows for a lot more functionality than most of the other triggers they have.

I’d suggest trying them out with the free The Events Calendar. Events Calendar Pro does not provide additional functionality with either of these.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Follow up question:
Is there a way to automatically send an email when a calendar event is posted?

    Hi Brian

For that, I might suggest using the RSS feed (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-rss-feed/) into an email system like Mailchimp (https://mailchimp.com/features/rss-to-email/).

    Would this work for you?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics.
