ParticipantI had to delete all events (used the Event Rocket plugin), and when I was supposed to re-import my events the import function just keeps spinning and working, though it never really seems to import a single event.
When I started the import I had these versions installed (I think):
– The event calendar: 4.4.01
– The event calendar PRO: 4.4When I recognized that it just kept spinning and spinning, I deactivated the plugins (regular and pro), updated those as well (regular 4.5.1 and PRO 4.4.7), and reactivated them. That didn’t work out.
So now I’m trying to find a way to force quit the import, and would like to try import again, but with a newer version.
Please help.

KeymasterHello Steffen,
Thanks for using our plugins and for getting in touch!
I’m sorry about this import issue you are having.
Updating the plugins was a good step as we keep fixing bugs with every release.
I have a hunch that you ran into an issue that was recently reported. Could you share the feed of the url with me so I can check and test?
For that issue a fix should be coming very soon, hopefully this week.
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks for your reply.
I tried to solve it further after I posted issue. Changed the Origin of the import to Google Calendar (cause that was the correct source), but didn’t make any difference. The import process stoped after a good time, but didn’t import any event. I also made some attempts to preview the feed and the events showed up perfectly right away, but didn’t import any events after pressing Run Import.
Here is the url I’m importing from: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/ppsui1168ju95v13nb3300vbvo%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

KeymasterThanks for sharing the feed. Until I run some tests with it I recommend you to update to the latest versions of our plugins which we released yesterday. The new release contains a fix that solves an issue that is very similar to yours.
Let me know how TEC 4.5.2 works out.

ParticipantI updated TEC to 4.5.2. Now, when I “Run Import”, the browser shows me a blank page with this as the URL (wp-admin/edit.php?page=aggregator&post_type=tribe_events&tab=scheduled&action=run-import&ids=6302&nonce=096ba6ea09). Went back to the events, but none are imported.

KeymasterHello Steffen,
I ran some tests with the feed and all went fine so far. I did a one-time import, then set up a scheduled import, then ran the scheduled import again. All good.
The white screen can signal some other issue. For the next step I would suggest deactivating all your plugins except the calendar ones and switch to a default theme like twentysixteen and check if you are still getting the same error.
Let me know and we’ll continue from there.

ParticipantHi Andras. I deactivated all other plugins and switched the theme to twentysixteen, but I’m still getting the same error…

ParticipantThanks for being so helpful!
I went back and tried again. Regarding the white screen, that I don’t get anymore but. I guessed you fixed it with the last update, but the problem of no importing events is still there. I’m doing “Scheduled Imports” since the feed are updating continuously. I tried to import now with “Scheduled Import”, and it imported 10 events, while there is 555 events in the feed.
