ParticipantThe iCal button refreshes the page but no import is downloaded to add to the calendar. I am wondering if the iCal Import button doesn’t work on my Mac because Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) does not install iCal. It installs Calendar and perhaps the function doesn’t go to Calendar if iCal isn’t present?
I found another thread that gives the code to remove the iCal Import button from all views: https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/remove-ical-import-2/ but I hesitate to do that because it may work for users with earlier Mac OS X versions and it may work for Windows (I don’t know if it works in Windows). If it works for earlier Mac OS X versions, could you create an additional button that goes to the Mac OS X Calendar for Mountain Lion? http://www.apple.com/osx/apps/#calendar

MemberHi Cynthia,
I just tested this on my end. I have exactly the same set up MacOSX 10.8 with Calendar (not iCal), and both your site and our test site seemed to download the file correctly and then load the dates to the calendar.
I’m wondering if this may be a browser issue? What are you using? So far I’ve tested in Chrome and Safari. Also double check your settings for calendar? Can you confirm this works on other sites with the same concept? (i’m trying to find another site with this same feature to use as an example, but you might find one before me. I’ll post one if I find it.)

ParticipantIt seems to be a page issue. I’ve tried it in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. The iCal button works fine for the calendar on my home page and for the /events/ month view. But when I go to the event description page in any of the three browsers, all that happens is the page refreshes and nothing is downloaded. See

Also note: No Google calendar button shows up on my home page or the /events/ views until you get to the individual event description page. But it works. Is it overriding the function of the iCal button??Secondary problem: when I go to the next month, September, there is no iCal button at all to add any events to personal calendars. See

MemberHi Cynthia,
Interesting! I know we alway dance this same dance, but I just have to check before I dig any deeper. Have you checked if there are any plugins that may be causing a conflict on that particular page? I know its a hassle turning them on and off again, but it does help us isolate the issue a little better. I’ll try my best to replicate this on my end in the mean time. I also may still have a copy of your zip file from a previous thread so I’ll see if I can load that up again in the mean time, let me know if there have been any changes to that?

MemberCynthia, since we haven’t heard from you in a while I’m going to assume you’re set here (and will close this in a few days to follow suit). Please let me know if I’m mistaken.
