ICAL Import

There is a way to add a “Venue” or “Tags” taxonomies inside the ICAL import settings? I notice there is only “Category” available.

If I edit event after it imported but the ICAL feed syncs once a day. Does it change the content I edited in the event page every time it sync? Does it save small changes like tags, categories, venues if i apply them after it syncs or does it restart the whole event page?

What happening when we import a google calendar event that has a venue attach in the location.

for example:
Voodoo Doughnut, Southwest 3rd Avenue, Portland, OR, United States
Venue Name, Full Address

How does it works when I will import an address like that from google calendar?
Does it import the venue name and address into the plugin Venue?

Wish I could test it.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in iCal Importer.

I can help out here.

There is not feature to add a venue or tag taxonomy.

The importer is suppose to sync events when the ical changes, however it is a little to aggressive right now and we are patching it in a maintenance release.

When you import an event with a venue it looks for the venue name and uses that and add the address to those fields.
