Hi, Right now when you click the iCAL button, this creates a NEW calendar in outlook for the website that has Events Calendar Pro installed.

I would like to be able to import the events into my personal calendar that exists in Outlook. Is this possible?

    Hi ifarrer,

I think the best starting point would be the options in Outlook itself, however I’m afraid I’m not familiar with that application and you’d need to research this one by yourself. To the best of my knowledge the iCal standard doesn’t allow us to define that data in any way that would indicate to Outlook it is intended to be pulled into an existing calendar, though if you are aware of anything here do let us know and we’ll look into it.

    Thanks!

ifarrer, try adding this code to your functions.php.

Bear in mind it will effect all iCal exports and may cause issues if someone uses without Outlook.

Let me know if it works for you.

Hi, ifarrer. As it’s been more than a couple of weeks since your last post, I’m going to close this thread. Please feel free to open a new one if you choose to pursue this further.

    Thanks! 🙂
