We have events in our ECP install going out through December, but for whatever reason the iCal feed simply terminates after our June 18th event — standard Mac apps, Google Cal import and an online iCal feed verify all show the same thing. We’ve seen this issue for some time, but the latest patches/upgrades haven’t resolved it (we were hoping!)

Any ideas as to the cause/solution? chattanoogamarket.com/events/ical

    Hi!

It doesn’t show all events (some calendars may have a considerable number of upcoming events – in the many thousands, for instance – and querying for all of them could make for quite a big “hit” in some hosting environments).

You should find though if you go to page 2, 3, 4 … etc of the upcoming events list and use the iCal button on each a matching set of events is provided.

Does that help or at least clarify things?

It clarifies how you implemented iCal, but ultimately is a fail for our users.
The purpose of iCal is to provide an automated way for someone to subscribe to our event calendar — and receive constant updates, changes and additions without having to manually add them. As it stands, this simply isn’t possible.

Sure, I can see your point and actually I believe we do have a ticket logged to bring about an iCal feed with all upcoming events – so if you can bear with us we’ll get something released to enable this 🙂

I would highlight though that not everyone would wish the ical feed to contain absolutely all upcoming events and this is unlikely to ever be enabled by default.

Hi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
