Hi,
I am using the Pro Version. I know that this problem has been discussed in this forum quite a few times. However, I am not able to dig out the general solution approach.My problem is that the neither the ical export of a single event nor the ical export of a complete month is working.
I can download the ics.file, but if I open it with MS Outlook 2010 the system says “The file “ical-TribeEvents.ics” is not a valid Internet Calendar file”.I tried to import the ics. file via File->Open->Import in Outlook, but with the same result and message.
Interestingly enough the monthly export works on this side
http://tribe.thefragens.net/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=month
And the feed subscription as well.But I don’t want to change the button or functionality. The requirement is to export a single event.
Grateful for your swift feedback.
Thomas

Sorry for the issues with this.
Apparently Outlook does not like a header, which although valid can cause issues.
A contributor to our plugins has plugin that may fix the issue for you:
Does installing that plugin fix the issue for you?

However the problem still remains for both export scenarios.
T.January 14, 2015 at 5:48 pm #933026BrianKeymasterOk I was able to reproduce the error from your site.
I took a look at the ics file and see the problem.
This coding is being added to the file from some other code:
<!-- ngg_resource_manager_marker --> <div style="display:none">
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
!function(d,s,id){
var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';
if(!d.getElementById(id)){
js=d.createElement(s);
js.id=id;js.src=p+"://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);
}
}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
</script><script src="http://stats.wp.com/e-201503.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
st_go({v:'ext',j:'1:3.3',blog:'82139790',post:'12185',tz:'1'});
var load_cmc = function(){linktracker_init(82139790,12185,2);};
if ( typeof addLoadEvent != 'undefined' ) addLoadEvent(load_cmc);
else load_cmc();
</script>Not sure where that is coming from, but preventing that from running on the events pages should fix the issue.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. However your answer is not quite sattisfying.
What i did is, what other users did as well, adding your plugin to my theme.
Can you indicate which code lines are not comming from your product, although i am not inclined to fiddle around with the code.
Is there an other approach? Like why I am able to export the calender given in the example of my Initial email?Worst case I would ask for refunding, cos the product is not delivering the functionality as proposed.
Thanks,
ThomasJanuary 15, 2015 at 5:20 am #933187BrianKeymasterSorry if it was not clear the lines of coding not coming from our plugin is everything in that block above. None of that should be there.
You are able to export the other Calendar, because it does not have those lines in the file on the other site.
It looks like that coding being added is coming from NextGen Gallery.
I did a search and found many instances of NextGen causing issues in other plugins.
Looks like it could be NextGen itself or NextGen in combination with a Minify Plugin or Script.
However, there is an example in this thread that may help:

Thanks
