I want to create a duplicate event

Hello Support,

I hope you can help. I would simply like to be able to duplicate an event that I previously ran through Events Calendar Pro, to save me having to create a whole new event page and type everything in again.

Is this an option?

Hey James, this is unfortunately not an option at this time 🙁 There are no ways to simply duplicate an existing event, you have to manually create each event.

I feel this really should be an option for the programme as it seems fairly simple and would be very useful.

Also ‘Events Manager’ has it as part of their free package. Just saying.

there is a free third party plugin called “Event Rocket” that adds the option to duplicate an event.

The Event Rocket plug in works fine. It’s added the option to ‘duplicate’ any event on the dashboard.

Thanks for sharing that @Fridolin! A word of caution, however, (and the reason why I didn’t originally recommend this), is that Event Rocket is technically deprecated; it is not getting any more active development is wholly unsupported. And so if issues arise with or relating to it, you’re unfortunately more or less stuck with the issues 🙁

Just a word of caution; but it should still be plenty useful for at least several months from now.
