GuestI need a solution for selling tickets online.
I want my customers to be able to purchase and then print a ticket from my website.
I want the ticket to be printable upon completion of the payment process…is that possible with your store plugin?May 21, 2014 at 10:17 am #169218Barry
MemberHi – thanks for taking a look at our plugins 🙂
I think WooCommerce Tickets (which builds on top of our free, core plugin – The Events Calendar – and also on top of WooCommerce, which is also free) might fit your needs here:
- Customers can select and purchase tickets for events right on your website
- You have control over the way in which they pay (by adding a suitable WooCommerce addon that might even mean you take credit card payments right on your site – and/or you could choose something simple like PayPal Standard)
- When the order is processed the customers will be emailed a copy of their tickets which they can then print
Please do check out both the product page I linked to and this fantastic new user primer which goes into more detail:
tri.be/support/documentation/wootickets-new-user-primer
That should give you a great idea of what you can achieve with this solution – but if you do have any further questions please do let me know 🙂
Thanks!

GuestBarry, will we have to go in and manually approve the completion of tickets If we are only set up to take Credit Card Purchases for Payment?
see below excerpt from your primer page…
It’s worth noting that there may be an extra step here, depending on the payment method you’d selected. Navigate to WooCommerce –> Orders on the backend. Depending on the payment method you’d selected, the order you just placed will show as either Completed, Processing or On Hold. When the order is either Processing or On Hold, the user will receive an email confirming their order and informing them that they will receive their tickets in a future email. When the order is Completed, the user will receive an email confirming that the payment processed and their tickets will be attached.
In most cases the merchant will need to manually verify that the payment came through so, in general, orders will not automatically progress to a completed status. This is not unique to WooCommerce Tickets however – it’s actually an intentional feature of the WooCommerce platform itself.
The good news is, this is a real easy step. When the payment is received, just check the box on the orders list next to the order you want to modify, select the Bulk Actions dropdown up top and change to “Mark order as completed.” Upon doing so the order will be finalized, and the secondary email will be sent.

MemberGenerally speaking yes you will … although the good folks at WooCommerce do have a workaround to automate this (see here). Does that help?
