Hundreds of soft 404 errors in google webmaster tools

Hi,

I’m receiving hundreds of soft 404 errors in Google webmaster tools for event category day views without any events on. e.g. http://www.website.com/events/category/music/2015-10-25/

I’m running the latest version of everything and the amount of soft 404 errors is growing. Google views such pages as soft 404 errors as they are ‘thin’ in content.

I’ve searched the forums and see that other people have had this issue in the past but I can’t find any real solution.

How can this issue be solved?
