    Hi guys,

You might remember my extensive thread about having massive attendee lists and it loading all on one page in the browser. This made for very long load times, browser crashes, and painful check-ins. As a result, you worked on a custom solution for the check-ins which was great.

Here’s the original thread, which is closed: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/huge-attendee-list/

I’m wondering if there has been a plan to paginate these results in the admin and check people in without the custom plugin in place. My client will have a new season starting in the spring and this will happen again with new events.

I’ve done the relevant plugin updates but haven’t noticed any changes affecting this situation.

    Thanks for your time!
    Jason

    Hello Jason,

Thanks for reaching out with your question.

I checked in our system and the feature of paginating the attendee list already ticketed. However, at the moment I don’t have any more information on when it is going to be implemented.

Although it doesn’t look like it, it is a complex issue, so, I would expect it coming sometime after Christmas only. The ticket has higher than average priority, which should give it some push.

I’m sorry I cannot give you better news at the moment.

I will set the status of this thread to pending fix, so you will get an update once that new feature ships.

    Thanks for hanging in there.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the reply. You have no idea how badly this fix is needed for me! The event list from my last thread got up to 3522 attendees, all on one page, and they have another season coming up in the spring.

I may have discovered another problem though. When I click, Events > Ticket Holders from the admin menu, it takes me to the attendee list for the first main event that I created. The problem is, I have more than one event right now, but it doesn’t seem that I can switch to the other ones. The only way to get to the attendee list for the other events is to go to the page I used to created it and click through from there. That’s okay for me, but for my client, it’s too confusing.

    Thoughts?

    Hey Jason,

Since this is a different issue I kindly ask you to open a new thread for this. This will help us to keep things clean and to ensure that both your issues get the deserved attention. Meanwhile I’ll try to look into the issue.

Just copy paste your post into a new thread and reference this one. You can mention that you posted this to me before and I’m looking into it.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
