ParticipantHi
I had the wootickets licence installed but not the events calendar pro one. I updated ALL plugins and now I have this error…The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?
I’ve inputed the Pro licence and tried to update the plugin but it doesn’t think it needs an update. I’ve cleared Chrome cache. I deactivated Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, WooTickets. Then I reactivated all… same problem. I then deactivated all again and uploaded Pro 2.0.11 files through FTP overriding the files in the existing calendar pro folder. Reactivated and still the same error message. I even modified the custom events folder in my child them to 1events in case it was complaining about those files.
What else can I do?
Thanks.

ParticipantHi ellaearth,
Is your PRO license still good? You do need the new 3.0 version of PRO to be able to run everything else. You might need to manually reinstall it. If you still have an active license you can download it from the Account Central > Downloads link above.
I hope that helps but let me know if you need anything else.

ParticipantHi Jonah
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my support question on your holiday. I’ve downloaded Pro 3.0 and I’m wondering about the best way to go about installing it. If I delete ver 2, will event data get deleted as well in the db? What’s the best approach to this upgrade in my situation?
Thanks muchly,

ParticipantHi Gabriella/Lee,
I would suggest for now, renaming the old PRO folder ‘events-calendar-pro-OLD’ or something like that. This will deactivate it. Then, manually copy over the new 3.0 pro folder and then when you go to your plugins page, you’ll see both versions and you should be able to see the version number there to know which one is which. Simply activate the 3.0 version and begin testing things. You could delete ver 2 and nothing would happen to your data, but I would suggest going the route I suggested so you can revert to 2.x if anything goes wrong. If everything looks ok with 3.0 running, then you can delete the 2.x version.
I hope that makes sense and helps but let me know if you have any questions.

MemberHi mannaharvest,
I suspect that your browser has a setting that automatically opens downloaded files. You could try using a different browsers or adjusting that setting. Another option is to rezip the file by right clicking the events calendar folder and selecting compress.
Let me know if you need further help.
Cheers,
