How to transfer event to different Author

I would like to transfer an event which I created as the Webmaster of the site to a newly registered Event Contributor. However when I go into edit the event, I can’t edit the Author, despite there being a drop down box. Is there another way I can change this.

Can you give me some more info? I’m able to change event authors with no problem.

Can you please confirm that after executing these combined steps in order, the problem still exists?

1. Deactivate ALL plugins
2. Change theme to Twentytwelve, Twentythirteen or Twentyfourteen<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”> </span>
3. Activate The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro

At the bottom of the ‘Events’ admin page, there is a dropdown to change the author. As long as the user is set to ‘contributor’ level or above, you can add them as the author.
