How to show passed events along with upcoming ones?

hi team,

i think there has been similar question posted already but dont think solution was what i am looking for, as what i am trying to do is to have all events – passed and upcoming, on the same category page. can you advise how i can do it?

alternatively, can i add events with no date at all? sort of on going event post?

Hi Maciej.

To make sure I understand what you’re asking, are you wanting th category month view page — e.g. http://example.com/events/category/barbecue/ — to NOT hide past/expired events?

For your second question, each event requires a date but can be setup as recurring if that helps.

Yes I think you are right. I am using List View and when an event is over, it disappears from that category page (tabs on my website are based on Event Category) but I would like to keep those passed events visible on these pages as well, along with upcoming events. So if it comes down to NOT HIDING passed events so they are also showing… I guess that’s what I need!

Long story short, if a page is showing Dog Training events it would basically show all Dog Training events that have ever been added just that the upcoming ones would be on top of the passed ones.

Hope this makes more sense now but please let me know if you need to know anything else.

Thanks for your update.

This would definitely fall under customizations, which we don’t provide as part of our Scope of Support Terms.

However, you or your developer could follow along our Themer’s Guide to create a custom view of your own for whichever view(s) you’re wanting.
